Women's Micro Enterprise Stories
This set of videos tells the very personal life stories of the people behind our products. The stories show a snapshot of the wide diversity of cultures, geography and villages who supply our unique Nepali products. We aim to show a glimpse into the lives of the 25,000 members across 36 districts, with which we work.
They tell the real-life challenges in rural Nepal and how through actively engaging in micro enterprise activities, these barriers can be gradually eroded away. These stories touch on many of the pressing issues found in Nepal today, such as caste discrimination, disability, changing cultures, rural-urban migration and gender equality. They also show how self-employment can be an important tool in confronting these challenges.
These entrepreneurs are jointly supported by our close partner organizations:
- Micro Enterprise Development Programme (MEDEP)
- The Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID)
